HVLS, Exhaust & Cooling, across Belagavi (Belgaum)
Industrial Exhaust Fans, Air Coolers & HVLS Fans in Belagavi: Built for the Foundry and Aerospace Belt
We are Aruth Ventilation Systems, an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer that supplies and installs industrial exhaust fans, air coolers and HVLS fans for the Belagavi foundry, casting and aerospace belt, from the Udyambag and Auto Nagar foundry cluster to the KIADB Aerospace SEZ. Belagavi factories run hot furnace and machining heat plus metal fumes, so we lead with industrial and FRP exhaust to pull that out and HVLS destratification to even out the floor, with coolers for worker zones in the dry summer. With 230+ installations, gearless IE5 PMSM HVLS motors that cut up to 30% off conventional fan bills, and a 2-year warranty, we give you a free on-site survey anywhere in Belagavi. Belagavi is a real industrial town, not just a stopover on the Pune to Bengaluru highway, and its ventilation problem is driven by metal. The Udyambag and Auto Nagar belt is packed with foundries, castings units, machine tool shops and auto component makers, and on a foundry floor the melting furnace, the pouring bay and the fettling area all radiate serious heat while throwing metal fume and silica dust into the air. We have spent years on floors exactly like these, and the lesson never changes: on a foundry or machining shop the first job is to physically pull the heat and fume out of the building with exhaust, then even out what is left with HVLS, and only then think about cooling people.
Belagavi's climate actually helps you here, and it is worth understanding why. Belagavi sits on the south Karnataka plateau at around 750 m, so it is one of the milder industrial towns in the state, closer to Bengaluru than to the baking heat of Ballari or Kalaburagi in north Karnataka. That means you are not fighting extreme ambient heat most of the year. The real load inside a Belagavi factory is process heat off the furnaces and machines, not the weather, so HVLS air movement plus exhaust extraction does most of the work, and evaporative coolers are a useful spot tool for worker zones during the dry April to May peak rather than the main answer.
The two ends of Belagavi industry need quite different treatment, which is the whole point of a proper survey. A grey-iron foundry in Udyambag needs high-capacity industrial exhaust to clear furnace heat and casting fume, with HVLS over the moulding and fettling floor for comfort. The precision and aerospace units in the KIADB Aerospace SEZ are a different world: clean, temperature-stable machining halls where you want steady, gentle, dust-free air movement from HVLS and controlled extraction at heat-treat, coolant-mist and weld stations, not a gale that lifts swarf and upsets close-tolerance work. We size each one to the actual heat, fume and dust load on the floor.
This page covers Belagavi specifically. Below we break down the main Belagavi industrial estates, why each needs ventilation, and which Aruth system fits, with a real local case study and the numbers behind it. We are honest about one thing: we are based in Ahmedabad, not Belagavi. But we supply and install all over India, Karnataka is a core region for us, and our own team handles the work, not a local sub-contractor. Wherever you are in Belagavi, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Belagavi Foundry Cluster (Udyambag / Auto Nagar)
Foundry cluster: foundry, castings, machine tools, auto componentsThe heart of Belagavi industry, with a dense run of foundries, castings units, machine tool shops and auto component makers around Udyambag and Auto Nagar. Melting furnaces, pouring bays and fettling areas radiate extreme heat and throw metal fume and silica dust, so these units need high-capacity industrial and FRP exhaust to physically clear the hot, fume-laden air, with 6.1 m or 7.3 m HVLS fans over the moulding and machining floor to destratify the trapped roof heat and keep workers comfortable far more cheaply than rows of wall fans.
How to choose: exhaust, HVLS and coolers for a Belagavi factory
The short answer for Belagavi: lead with industrial exhaust to pull furnace heat and metal fume out, add HVLS fans to destratify and move air across the floor, and use air coolers only for spot relief at fixed worker zones in the dry summer. Most Belagavi foundries and machine shops we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack. A grey-iron unit in Udyambag needs exhaust to clear the melting and pouring heat AND HVLS over the moulding and fettling floor to make the rest of the shed workable.
One point specific to Belagavi: because the town sits high on the plateau and stays relatively mild for most of the year, you are mainly fighting process heat from furnaces and machines, not the weather. That changes the priority order. The heat and fume you generate inside has to leave the building, which is an exhaust job, and the warm air that pools under a high foundry roof has to be pushed back down and moved across people, which is an HVLS destratification job. Evaporative coolers do help in Belagavi during the dry April and May peak, when humidity is low enough for them to work, but they are a worker-zone spot tool here, not the backbone of the system. If the problem is hot, still air pooling over a big shed, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler. If the problem is heat and fume you need physically out of the building, furnace heat, casting fume, weld smoke, heat-treat vapour, you need exhaust, and in damp or chemically aggressive corners, FRP corrosion-proof exhaust.
Why Belagavi foundries and machine shops switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves Belagavi plant owners is the power bill, then the comfort. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power consumption, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. On a foundry or machine shop floor, where the destratification benefit also pulls trapped hot roof air back down and evens out the whole bay, the comfort gain is bigger than the bill alone suggests.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance, which matters a lot in dusty foundry air. There is no gearbox to leak oil onto your castings or seize up in silica-laden conditions. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your Belagavi shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, headcount, your current fan count and your tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Belagavi
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Belagavi plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015. Belagavi sits on the Pune to Bengaluru corridor we already travel often, so this is routine work for our team, not an out-of-area exception.
We supply and install all over Belagavi, from the Udyambag and Auto Nagar foundry cluster to the KIADB Aerospace SEZ and the surrounding auto component, machine tool and agro-processing units. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor, measuring your area, roof height and the heat, fume and dust load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single grey-iron foundry in Udyambag or a precision machining unit in the SEZ, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a Udyambag grey-iron foundry clears its melting bay and cools the floor
Before — the problem
A grey-iron foundry in the Udyambag belt of Belagavi, casting auto and machine-tool components, called us with a problem we see across the foundry cluster. Their roughly 24,000 sq.ft shed ran an induction melting bay, a pouring line and a fettling area together, and by mid-shift the heat off the furnace and the metal fume drifting across the moulding floor made the whole bay hard to work in. A row of pedestal fans just pushed hot, dusty, fume-laden air around at head height while drawing power all day and doing nothing about the heat trapped under the roof.
What Aruth installed
We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 9 m, and mapped where the furnace heat and casting fume were collecting over the melting and pouring bays. Our recommendation was a combination: high-capacity industrial wall exhaust fans, sized around 40,000 CFM total, on the furnace-bay wall to physically pull the heat and metal fume out of the building, plus three 7.3 m HVLS fans over the open moulding and fettling floor to destratify the trapped roof heat and wash the floor with a steady breeze. We kept the HVLS line away from the furnace itself so it cleared the working floor without fanning the heat source.
The result
After installation the melting bay cleared of standing fume, the trapped roof heat came down, and the moulding floor ran noticeably cooler. Because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors, the plant replaced roughly 18 pedestal fans with far lower running cost, and fan-related power dropped sharply. On the foundry's long running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone, before counting the comfort and dust gains. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
