HVLS, Exhaust & Cooling, across the Dharwad NICDC node
HVLS & Exhaust Fans for the Dharwad Industrial Corridor Node (NICDC), Karnataka
We supply and install HVLS exhaust fans for the Dharwad industrial corridor node, the new NICDC greenfield node coming up around Dharwad where FMCG, auto component and food processing plants are putting up large sheds and warehouses from scratch.
The Dharwad industrial corridor node is a greenfield site, which changes the whole ventilation conversation. Most factories call us after years of struggling with a hot, stuffy shed. Here, you are designing the building before it is built, so you can plan HVLS destratification and exhaust into the roof and the wall openings from the start, instead of retrofitting around steel that is already up. That is the single biggest advantage of building on a NICDC node, and it is one most owners do not use fully because they think ventilation is something you bolt on at the end.
Dharwad sits on the north Karnataka plateau, between mild Hubli-Dharwad weather and the hotter, drier belt towards Ballari and Kalaburagi. It does not have the brutal coastal humidity of Mangaluru or the 44C interior baking of north India, so for most plants here the right lead is air movement plus extraction, not heavy cooling. A big open FMCG packing hall or an auto component shed mainly needs a steady breeze across the floor and a way to pull process heat and stale air out, which is exactly what HVLS fans plus exhaust deliver at low running cost.
The mix of industries arriving on the node each need a slightly different answer. FMCG and packaging want comfortable, even air over large floors and dust-controlled extraction. Auto component units run weld, machining and assembly bays that throw radiant and process heat. Food and agro processing brings steam, humidity and washdown areas that need real exhaust to stay workable and hygienic. General engineering sits in between. We have fitted all of these across India, so we can size the right combination for each shed before your roof goes on.
We are honest about where we are based: Ahmedabad, at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Satellite. But we supply and install all over India, Karnataka included, and we run the Dharwad node through our own engineers, not a handed-off dealer. The first step is the same whether your shed is on paper or already standing: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

Dharwad National Industrial Corridor Node
NICDC corridor node: FMCG, auto components, food processingThe flagship NICDC greenfield node around Dharwad, attracting FMCG, auto component and food and agro processing plants onto large new plots. Because these are fresh high-bay sheds and warehouses, the smart move is to plan HVLS destratification fans and wall or roof exhaust into the design from day one, so the floor stays comfortable and process heat, dust and steam are cleared without an expensive retrofit later.
How to choose: HVLS vs exhaust vs coolers for a Dharwad node factory
The short answer for the Dharwad node: HVLS fans for whole-floor comfort over large open sheds, exhaust fans to physically remove process heat, fumes, dust or steam, and air coolers for spot relief at fixed workstations. On the north Karnataka plateau the climate is mild to warm rather than extreme, so most plants here lead with HVLS plus exhaust and add coolers only where people stand in one hot spot all shift.
The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If the problem is hot, still air over a big FMCG packing hall, a warehouse or an assembly floor, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and feels 3 to 5 C cooler at skin level, for a fraction of the power of a wall of pedestal fans. If the problem is something you must physically get out of the building, weld smoke in an auto component bay, steam and humidity in food processing, dust off a packing line, you need exhaust sized to the CFM of that space. Most node plants end up with a planned combination, which is far cheaper to fit before the roof is on.
Why build ventilation into a greenfield node shed from day one
Building on the Dharwad node gives you a chance most factory owners never get: to design the air movement and extraction into the building instead of fighting the structure later. When you tell us the shed dimensions and roof height at the planning stage, we can mark exactly where HVLS fans hang for even coverage, where wall exhaust openings sit for the best airflow path, and how many of each you need for the floor area. Done this way, the ventilation is cleaner, cheaper and works better than any retrofit.
Retrofitting later costs more and compromises more. Once the roof trusses, lighting and racking are fixed, fan positions get dictated by what is in the way rather than by what is right for the airflow, and cutting fresh exhaust openings into a finished wall is messy work. We have done plenty of retrofits and they work well, but on a greenfield node like Dharwad there is no reason to start behind. We run the airflow numbers on your drawings during the free survey and hand you a layout you can build straight into the shed.
Why Dharwad node factories switch to gearless HVLS
The number that matters to a node plant owner is the running cost over the life of the building. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. On a brand new shed you lock in that low running cost from the first day, instead of inheriting a high bill and replacing fans later.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance: there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your stock or seize up. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths is straightforward. During the free survey we run the actual numbers for your shed, the floor area, roof height, headcount and your planned or current tariff, and show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Karnataka and the Dharwad node
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for a Dharwad node plant: factory pricing, custom sizes fabricated in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers handling the survey, install and after-sales rather than a third-party dealer. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and we supply and install all over India, Karnataka included.
We will be honest that we are not a local Dharwad shop, we are an Ahmedabad manufacturer that covers Karnataka through our own team and a free on-site survey. That survey is genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your site or your drawings, measuring the floor area, roof height and your heat, fume, dust or steam load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single FMCG shed or a multi-bay auto component plant on the node, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: an FMCG packing plant on the Dharwad node plans air from day one
Before — the problem
An FMCG company setting up a new packaging and warehousing plant on the Dharwad industrial corridor node came to us before the shed roof was finished, which is exactly when we like to be involved. Their main hall was a 24,000 sq.ft high-bay space for packing lines and palletised storage, and they had seen at their older unit how a finished shed traps a hot, still layer of air under the roof that makes the floor uncomfortable and slows packing crews through the warmer plateau months.
What Aruth installed
We did a free survey off their construction drawings and on site, confirmed a roof height of about 10 m, and mapped the packing lines against the storage racking. Our recommendation was a planned combination: four 7.3 m HVLS fans spaced across the open packing and storage floor to wash it with a steady, even breeze, plus industrial wall exhaust sized around 30,000 CFM on the line side to clear packing dust and the warm, stale air before it built up under the roof. Because the building was still going up, the fan mounting points and exhaust openings were built straight into the structure.
The result
Once commissioned, the packing floor ran noticeably cooler and the air stayed fresh over the lines, and because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors the plant avoided installing roughly 20 pedestal fans and the power load that comes with them. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone, against a cost that would have been higher as a retrofit. The fans carry our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end.
