Devanahalli has become North Bengaluru's aerospace and electronics engine, and the ventilation problem here is not the same as a hot foundry town. The factories going up around KIADB Aerospace Park and the airport are clean, precision-driven assembly plants: Boeing and its aerospace and defence suppliers, electronics and laptop makers in the Wistron and Foxconn ecosystem, precision machining shops and MRO hangars. These are large, high-roofed sheds full of people, benches and process equipment, and the air over them needs to be moving, even and controlled. Still, warm air pooling under a 9 or 10 metre truss is the most common complaint we hear when we walk these floors.
Devanahalli sits on the Bengaluru plateau at around 900 metres, so the climate is mild and pleasant for most of the year, not the dry furnace heat of Ballari or the salty humidity of Mangaluru. That changes the answer. On this plateau the job is mainly air movement plus extraction, not heavy cooling. We lead with HVLS fans to wash the big assembly floors with a gentle, steady breeze and exhaust fans to pull out process heat, solder smoke and machining fumes. Evaporative coolers help only as spot relief in the warmer March to May window, so we use them selectively rather than over a whole clean shed.
The reason HVLS fits Devanahalli so well is the size and cleanliness of these buildings. One 7.3 m gearless IE5 fan moves a soft 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft on under 1.7 kW, which is exactly what a wide aerospace assembly bay or an electronics line needs: even air, low noise, no oily gearbox to drip on sensitive parts. Where the process gives off heat or fumes, soldering and reflow on electronics lines, surface treatment, paint and bonding in aerospace, machining mist in precision shops, we add high-CFM industrial exhaust, and FRP corrosion-proof exhaust wherever the air turns chemically aggressive.
This page covers Devanahalli and the estates around it, why each one needs ventilation and which Aruth system fits. We are honest that we are based in Ahmedabad, but Karnataka is a core state for us and we install across it with our own people. Wherever your shed sits, from the Aerospace Park to a new precision unit off the airport road, the first step is the same: a free on-site survey, an airflow calculation and a written quote, with no obligation.

KIADB Aerospace Park, Devanahalli
KIADB SEZ: aerospace & defence, electronics, precision engineeringThis is the flagship estate of North Bengaluru, a KIADB special economic zone next to Kempegowda Airport that hosts Boeing and aerospace and defence suppliers, electronics and laptop manufacturing in the Wistron and Foxconn ecosystem, and precision engineering units. These are large, clean, high-roofed assembly sheds where the priority is even, controlled airflow over people and benches, so most plants here run 6.1 m or 7.3 m HVLS fans across the open floor together with industrial exhaust to clear soldering smoke, machining mist and process heat off the lines.
How to choose: HVLS, industrial exhaust, FRP exhaust or coolers for a Devanahalli factory
The short answer for Devanahalli: lead with HVLS fans for whole-floor air movement and industrial exhaust to pull out process heat and fumes, add FRP corrosion-proof exhaust only where the air is chemically aggressive, and keep evaporative coolers for limited spot relief, because the Bengaluru plateau is mild and does not need heavy cooling. Most aerospace and electronics plants we fit here end up with HVLS plus exhaust, since the loads stack: an electronics line needs HVLS over the benches AND exhaust over the soldering and reflow stations.
The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. A wide, clean assembly bay with warm air pooling under a high truss is an HVLS job: one 7.3 m gearless IE5 fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft on under 1.7 kW, with no gearbox oil to threaten sensitive parts. Process heat or fumes you need out of the building, solder and reflow smoke, paint and bonding vapour, machining mist, surface-treatment heat, call for high-CFM industrial exhaust. Where that air carries corrosive chemicals from plating, anodising or surface treatment, that means FRP corrosion-proof exhaust that will not rust out in a year. Coolers we keep for a few hot-month spots near dispatch, not whole clean sheds.
Why Devanahalli plants switch to gearless IE5 HVLS
The number that moves a Devanahalli plant owner is the power bill, and over these big aerospace and electronics floors the saving is large. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft on roughly 1.5 to 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more and move far less air where people actually work. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance and, just as important for these plants, no gearbox oil to leak onto sensitive aerospace parts or electronics stock. On a clean assembly floor that runs long shifts, that reliability and cleanliness matter. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths is straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, truss height, headcount, your current fan count and your Karnataka tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad-made, installed across Devanahalli and Karnataka
We are open about it: Aruth is based in Ahmedabad, at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Road, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and we manufacture our HVLS fans, industrial and FRP exhaust fans and air coolers there. But Karnataka is one of our core states, and Devanahalli's aerospace and electronics boom is exactly the kind of work we are built for, so we install here with our own team, not a handed-off subcontractor.
The process is simple. We come to your Devanahalli shed for a free on-site survey, measure the floor and truss height, count your heat and fume sources, and design the layout. Then we deliver, mount, wire and commission the fans, and handle after-sales service under the 2-year warranty. Most installs are scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks of a confirmed order, depending on fan sizes and stock. Call +91 88665 44445 to book the survey.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a KIADB Aerospace Park electronics shed evening out the air over its lines
Before — the problem
An electronics assembly unit in the KIADB Aerospace Park area near Devanahalli called us during the warm March to May window. Around 16,000 sq.ft of bench assembly and soldering sat under a roughly 9 metre roof, and even on the mild plateau the air was pooling warm and still over the lines by mid-afternoon, with soldering smoke hanging near the benches. They had close to 16 wall and pedestal fans running, noisy and uneven, and the operators on the far benches were getting almost no air at all.
What Aruth installed
We surveyed the shed, ran the airflow numbers, and fitted three 6.1 m gearless IE5 HVLS fans laid out to wash the whole floor with a steady 1.5 to 2 m/s breeze at working height. Over the soldering and reflow stations we added high-CFM industrial exhaust to pull the smoke and process heat straight out. We did not push evaporative coolers for the main floor, because the Bengaluru plateau climate simply does not need them. The connected load for the three HVLS fans came in well under what the 16 old fans had been drawing.
The result
The result: the air was even and gentle right across the benches, the soldering smoke cleared off the lines, and the noise dropped sharply. On their shift hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone, before counting the steadier, more comfortable shifts. Everything is covered by our 2-year warranty and serviced by our own team.
