HVLS, FRP Exhaust & Cooling, across Mangaluru

FRP Exhaust Fans, HVLS Fans and Air Coolers in Mangaluru

We are Aruth Ventilation Systems, and we supply and install FRP exhaust fans, HVLS fans and air coolers in Mangaluru, from the petrochem and chemical plants around Baikampady to the seafood processing and export units and the warehouse sheds near the port. Mangaluru is hot, humid and salty coastal air, so corrosion-resistant FRP exhaust is the heart of what we fit here, paired with large gearless IE5 PMSM HVLS fans for the big processing and storage sheds. With 230+ installations across India, fans that cut up to 30% off conventional fan bills, and a 2-year warranty, we give you a free on-site survey anywhere in Mangaluru. Mangaluru factories work in some of the toughest air in Karnataka. The coast brings heat and high humidity year round, and the sea throws salt into that air, so anything metal rusts faster here than inland. On top of that the city's main industries, petrochemicals and refining at MRPL, chemicals at BASF, seafood processing and export, and fertilizers, all push out their own corrosive fumes, steam and refrigerant-cold loads. Ordinary mild-steel exhaust fans simply do not last in this mix, which is why FRP corrosion-proof exhaust is the first thing we recommend for almost every Mangaluru plant.

The honest climate point comes first, because it decides everything we fit. Mangaluru is hot AND humid, not dry, so evaporative air coolers do far less here than they do in dry North Karnataka towns like Ballari or Kalaburagi. Wet coastal air cannot soak up much more moisture, so a cooler that drops the temperature several degrees in a dry shed barely moves the needle in Mangaluru. That is why we lead with HVLS air movement and exhaust extraction here, and treat coolers as a limited spot tool only.

For moving air across a big floor, one 7.3 m gearless HVLS fan pushes a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft and makes workers feel 3 to 5 C cooler, without adding any moisture to already-damp air. For getting heat, fumes and steam physically out of the building, you need exhaust, and in Mangaluru's salty, chemical-laden air that means FRP exhaust fans, up to about 44,000 CFM, that will not corrode out in a season. Most plants here end up with both, because the loads stack.

We are an Ahmedabad manufacturer, and we say that plainly. We are not a same-city Mangaluru workshop. But Karnataka is a core service state for us, our own engineers travel down for the free survey and the installation, and because we build the fans ourselves, lead times stay short and spares come straight from our factory. For coastal, corrosive work like Mangaluru's, that control over the FRP fabrication matters.

Mangalore SEZ / Baikampady Industrial Area

KIADB / SEZ
1/1

This KIADB belt and the adjoining SEZ are the industrial heart of Mangaluru, packed with petrochemical, chemical, seafood-processing, fertilizer and engineering units close to the port. The air here is the harshest combination we deal with, salty sea breeze plus chemical fumes and refrigeration loads, so we lead with FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans for the process areas and large HVLS fans for the processing halls and warehouse sheds.

Why Mangaluru factories need FRP exhaust first, then HVLS

For Mangaluru, FRP exhaust comes first because the air is corrosive on three fronts at once. The sea puts salt into the breeze, the petrochem, chemical and fertilizer plants put out their own fumes, and the humidity keeps everything damp so corrosion never gets a chance to slow down. A mild-steel exhaust fan in this environment can rust through in a single year. Our FRP, fibre-reinforced plastic, exhaust fans are built for exactly this and keep extracting at full CFM season after season.

HVLS comes in right behind exhaust for the big open spaces. Seafood processing halls, cold-chain dispatch areas, warehouse and port-logistics sheds are large, and in Mangaluru's humid heat the air sits still and heavy unless you move it. One large gearless IE5 PMSM HVLS fan keeps a steady breeze across the whole floor, destratifies trapped heat near the roof, and helps damp surfaces dry, all without adding moisture the way a cooler would. The gearless PMSM motor also draws far less power, which is where the up-to-30% saving comes from.

FRP exhaust fans, corrosion-proof, up to about 44,000 CFM, for salty coastal and chemical-fume air
HVLS fans, 2.4 to 7.3 m, gearless IE5 PMSM, one 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft
Air coolers for limited spot cooling only, because Mangaluru's humidity blunts evaporative cooling
Up to 30% lower running cost versus conventional fans, and a 2-year warranty on every fan

Matching the system to your Mangaluru industry

We match the kit to what your plant actually does. For seafood processing and export units, the issues are humidity, fish-handling steam, wash-down water and refrigerated areas, so we fit FRP exhaust to pull moisture and odour out and HVLS to keep handling and packing floors comfortable and drier. For petrochem and chemical units around Baikampady and MRPL's belt, fume extraction is the priority, and FRP is non-negotiable because the fumes plus salt would eat ordinary fans alive.

For fertilizer plants the dust and ammonia-type fumes again call for FRP exhaust, while the large bagging and storage sheds suit HVLS. For port and logistics warehouses, the load is mostly trapped heat and stuffy still air over a big footprint, which is textbook HVLS territory, with exhaust added where forklifts or processing add fumes. Tile and engineering units get a similar HVLS-plus-exhaust mix. On the free survey we measure the shed, look at the actual fume and moisture sources, and tell you honestly what each space needs.

Seafood processing and export: FRP exhaust for moisture and odour, HVLS over handling and packing
Petrochem and chemical (MRPL belt, BASF): FRP exhaust for fume extraction, non-negotiable in salty air
Fertilizers: FRP exhaust for dust and fumes, HVLS for bagging and storage sheds
Port and logistics warehouses: HVLS for big stuffy sheds, exhaust where fumes are present

Why a coastal Mangaluru plant should not lead with air coolers

Air coolers work poorly as a whole-shed answer in Mangaluru, and we will tell you so before you spend money. Evaporative coolers cool by adding moisture to the air, and Mangaluru's coastal climate is already saturated with moisture for much of the year. A cooler that drops the felt temperature several degrees in dry North Karnataka barely shifts it here, and worse, it adds damp to air that is already too damp, which is the last thing a seafood or chemical plant needs.

So for Mangaluru we lead with HVLS fans to move air across the whole floor and FRP exhaust fans to pull heat, fumes and moisture out, and we keep air coolers for limited spot use only, at a fixed packing bench or a dispatch desk, where a single cool stream of air helps one work point. This is the honest difference between us and a generic supplier who will sell you a row of coolers regardless of the coast.

How we work in Mangaluru, from Ahmedabad

We are a manufacturer based at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and we install across Karnataka through our own team, not a sub-contractor. For a Mangaluru plant that means factory pricing, FRP and custom sizes fabricated in-house for your exact corrosive load, short lead times because the fans are built by us, and our own engineers handling the survey, install and after-sales.

The process is simple. You call +91 88665 44445, we schedule a free on-site survey in Mangaluru, our engineer measures the sheds and looks at the real fume, salt and moisture conditions, and you get a written quote with fan sizes, CFM, expected savings and timing. Most installations are scheduled within 1 to 2 weeks of a confirmed order. Every fan carries a 2-year warranty, and we have 230+ installations behind us across India.

Seafood processing unit, Baikampady Industrial Area, Mangaluru

  1. Before — the problem

A seafood processing and export unit in the Baikampady Industrial Area came to us with two problems that often go together on the Mangaluru coast: their old mild-steel exhaust fans were rusting through within a year in the salty, wash-down-wet air, and the main handling and packing hall stayed hot, humid and stuffy through the day.

  2. What Aruth installed

On the free survey our engineer measured the hall and walked the line to see where the steam, odour and moisture were actually coming from. We replaced the corroded units with FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans sized to pull the moist, odour-heavy air straight out, and we put up large gearless IE5 PMSM HVLS fans over the handling and packing floor.

  3. The result

The result the team noticed first was simple: the air stopped sitting still and heavy, surfaces dried faster, and the hall felt 3 to 5 C cooler without anyone adding a single cooler that would have only made the damp worse. The FRP fans keep extracting at full CFM where the old steel ones had failed, and the HVLS fans run on far less power than the conventional fans they replaced, trimming the running cost. The unit is covered by our 2-year warranty, and our team handled the whole job from Ahmedabad.
