HVLS Fans, Industrial Exhaust and FRP Ventilation in Jamnagar: Brass City and the Refinery Belt
We supply and install HVLS fans, industrial exhaust and FRP corrosion-proof exhaust across Jamnagar, the world's brass-parts capital and home to the world's largest refinery complex. Aruth Ventilation Systems is an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer, and we know the two problems a Jamnagar floor really faces: foundry heat with metal dust and acid plating fumes in the brass cluster, and coastal heat with high humidity in every shed near the Gulf of Kutch. With 230+ installations, IE5 gearless PMSM HVLS fans that cut fan power bills by up to 30%, and FRP exhaust up to about 44,000 CFM that does not rust out, we offer a free on-site survey anywhere in Jamnagar. We have spent enough time inside Jamnagar brass units to know what walks in the door before the owner finishes the sentence. A casting shed in Dared with the furnace running, fine brass dust on every surface, and a wet-bulb temperature that makes the workers near the melt look like they have been out in the rain. Then next door, an electroplating and pickling line where the acid fumes have eaten the galvanised exhaust fan down to lace inside a single season. Jamnagar makes more brass parts than anywhere on earth, and the ventilation problem here is very specific: heat, metal dust and corrosive acid fumes, all in one small shed.
Then there is the other Jamnagar. Outside the brass cluster sits the refinery and petrochemical belt, Reliance at Motikhavdi and Nayara (Vadinar), plus the engineering and plastics units in the GIDC and the Bandhani textile workshops in the old city. These are bigger, cleaner floors, but the coastal climate is the common enemy: Jamnagar sits on the Gulf of Kutch, so summer heat comes with heavy salt-laden humidity that hangs in the air and rots ordinary metal even faster than inland Gujarat.
Because we manufacture in Ahmedabad and not through a dealer, a Jamnagar unit talks to the people who actually build the fan. We do the survey, the airflow calculation, the FRP fabrication for your acid-fume line, the install and the after-sales service. Jamnagar is a comfortable run from our Ahmedabad workshop, and we install all over India with a free on-site survey, so a standalone unit off the Lalpur or Jamnagar-Rajkot highway gets the same engineer on the floor as a unit inside the GIDC.
This page covers the Jamnagar estates and clusters, why each one needs ventilation, and which Aruth system fits, FRP exhaust for the brass and plating air, HVLS for the big open floors and the coastal heat, coolers for spot relief at the workstations. Wherever you are in Jamnagar, the first step is the same: a free site survey, a written airflow calculation and an honest quote, with no obligation.

Jamnagar Brass Cluster (Dared, GIDC Phase I & II)
GIDC / private estateThe heart of Brass City, thousands of small casting, machining, electroplating and engineering units packed into Dared and the GIDC phases. The killer combination is furnace heat, fine brass dust and acid pickling and plating fumes in one cramped shed, so most units here need FRP corrosion-proof exhaust to pull out the acid air plus HVLS fans to make the foundry floor workable through summer.
Which Aruth system solves which Jamnagar problem
The short answer for Jamnagar: FRP exhaust for the acid and dust, HVLS for the heat and humidity, and coolers for spot relief, and most brass units need all three. The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If you are running a foundry, pickling or electroplating line, the priority is getting the fumes and metal dust physically out of the building, and in that acidic, salt-heavy coastal air that means FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) exhaust fans, because galvanised steel fans corrode out within a season or two here.
Once the bad air is out, the heat is the next fight. Over a large open machining or assembly floor, a 7.3 m gearless HVLS fan moves a gentle 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft on under 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 pedestal fans that cool far less and cost far more to run. For the men working right at the furnace or the plating tank, where you need cooling on a person rather than the whole shed, portable air coolers and mist or man-cooler fans give targeted relief.
Why FRP exhaust matters more in Jamnagar than almost anywhere
FRP exhaust is not a luxury in Jamnagar, it is the only thing that survives. Jamnagar's brass units run pickling and electroplating with acids that eat metal, and the coastal location on the Gulf of Kutch adds salt-laden humid air that corrodes steel from the outside as well. We have replaced galvanised and even powder-coated steel exhaust fans in Dared that rusted through inside a single season, while the FRP body next to it was still clean.
Our FRP exhaust fans use a fibre-reinforced plastic body and impeller that simply does not react with acid fumes or salt air, sized up to about 44,000 CFM, so one unit can clear a whole plating or pickling line. They carry our 2-year warranty instead of being a yearly replacement cost. On the survey we measure your fume load and the openings you already have, then size the exhaust so the acid air leaves the building instead of hanging over your workers and your stock.
Why Jamnagar factories switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves a Jamnagar owner is the power bill, and brass units run long, hot shifts. Our HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft on roughly 1.5 to 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power, with payback typically inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your brass stock or seize up in dusty foundry air. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths is straightforward. During the free survey we run the actual numbers for your shed, floor area, truss height, headcount and your current fan count and tariff, and show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Local manufacturing, free survey and install across India
We manufacture in Ahmedabad and serve Jamnagar directly, no dealer in the middle. Our own engineers handle the survey, the FRP fabrication for your acid-fume line, the install and the after-sales, so a brass unit in Dared or an engineering shed in the GIDC deals with the people who actually built the fan. Jamnagar is a comfortable run from our workshop at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015.
The free site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your Jamnagar floor, measuring roof height, machine heat load, fume sources and existing openings, then giving you a layout and a written quote with honest sizing. We supply and install all over India, so wherever your unit sits, inside the GIDC phases, in the Dared brass lanes, or out near Lalpur and the refinery belt, you get the same on-site survey and the same 2-year warranty.
From the field
Verified installCase study: a Dared brass and plating unit kills the acid fumes and the heat
Before — the problem
A brass parts and electroplating unit in the Dared cluster came to us with the classic Jamnagar problem in one shed: a casting and machining floor of about 14,000 sq.ft where furnace heat and brass dust made the air heavy by mid-morning, alongside a pickling and plating line whose acid fumes had corroded their galvanised exhaust fans down to scrap inside a single season.
What Aruth installed
We did a free site survey, measured a roof height of about 7 m and mapped where the acid fumes and the furnace heat were collecting. Our recommendation was a combination: three FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans, sized around 38,000 to 40,000 CFM total, on the plating-line wall to pull the acid air straight out, plus two 6.1 m HVLS fans over the open machining floor away from the melt to give the workers a steady breeze.
The result
After installation the plating line cleared, the acid haze stopped hanging over the tanks, and the machining floor ran several degrees cooler. Because the new HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors, the unit replaced roughly 16 pedestal fans with far lower running cost. The FRP exhaust bodies do not corrode in acid or salt air, so they are covered by our 2-year warranty instead of being a yearly replacement, and our Ahmedabad team handled survey, FRP fabrication and install on a single mobilisation.
