HVLS, Exhaust & Cooling, across Erode & Perundurai
HVLS Fans, Industrial Exhaust & Air Coolers for Erode's Textile, Dyeing & Powerloom Units
We are Aruth Ventilation Systems, and we supply and install HVLS exhaust fans and air coolers for Erode textile, dyeing, powerloom and agro-processing units, from the powerloom sheds in the city to the dyeing and bleaching cluster and the SIPCOT estate at Perundurai. Erode is hot, humid and lint-heavy, so a single shed often needs three things at once: large gearless HVLS fans to push air across the looms, industrial and FRP exhaust to pull dye fumes, steam and lint out, and evaporative coolers for spot relief on the weaving and processing floor. We make all of it, our HVLS fans run IE5 gearless PMSM motors that cut fan power by up to 30%, every fan carries a 2-year warranty, and we bring it all to your floor with a free on-site survey. We are an Ahmedabad manufacturer and our own engineers travel into Tamil Nadu to do the work. Call +91 88665 44445.
Walk a powerloom shed in Erode on an afternoon in May and you feel the real problem in two parts. First the heat, around 38 degrees outside, then the loom motors and the closed roof trapping it so the air just sits there, hot near the trusses and stale at the floor. Second the humidity and lint, because Erode sits in the coastal-influenced, humid belt of Tamil Nadu, so the air is already damp before sizing, dyeing and steam add more. Weavers slow down through the second half of the shift, and fine cotton dust hangs in every shaft of light.
We have spent years on floors exactly like this, and the mistake we see most across Erode is one product forced everywhere. Somebody hangs a row of wall fans in a tall weaving shed and just blows lint around, or runs a couple of small exhaust fans over a dye house that is generating far more fume and steam than they can ever clear. Erode's units run hot, humid and process-heavy, and they reward getting the mix right rather than buying the cheapest fan and hoping.
Because Erode is humid, not dry like inland north India, we are honest about evaporative coolers here: they help, but only for limited spot use on people at a weaving or packing station, not as whole-shed cooling. The real workhorses in this climate are HVLS air movement to make a humid floor feel 3 to 5 degrees cooler, and exhaust extraction to physically pull out heat, dye fumes, steam and lint. Where there is dyeing, bleaching or chemical contact, that exhaust has to be FRP, because ordinary mild-steel fans rust through within months in acidic, chlorine and salt-laden dye-house air.
Aruth Ventilation has completed 230-plus installations across India. We are honest about how we serve Erode: we are an Ahmedabad manufacturer, so we are not a same-city workshop here. Instead our own engineers travel into Tamil Nadu for a free site survey, and we handle supply, installation and after-sales ourselves rather than handing you to a local dealer. For a layout and a number that fit your shed, the free survey is the fastest first step.

SIPCOT / SIDCO Industrial Estates, Perundurai
SIPCOT (Perundurai): Textiles, Dyeing, Engineering, Agro processingErode's flagship organised estate, with textile and garment units, the common-effluent dyeing and bleaching cluster, engineering shops and agro-processing plants spread across the Perundurai SIPCOT and SIDCO areas. The big weaving and warehouse spans are the classic HVLS de-stratification case, while the dye and bleach houses need FRP corrosion-proof exhaust to pull acidic, chlorine-laden fume and steam out before it rusts the building and chokes the floor.
Why Erode's textile and dyeing units need a proper ventilation mix
The short answer is that Erode's heat, humidity, lint and dye fume are four different problems, and no single fan solves all four. HVLS fans handle the trapped heat and stale air over the looms and warehouses by moving a gentle whole-floor breeze. Industrial and FRP exhaust physically removes the dye fume, bleaching gas, steam, grinding dust and lint that you cannot let hang in the shed. Air coolers give targeted relief to people at a hot station. Most Erode units we fit end up with a combination, because the loads stack on the same floor.
The deciding factor is what is actually in your air. If it is hot, still air over a big weaving shed or a turmeric warehouse, HVLS is the answer: one 7.3 m gearless fan washes up to about 20,000 sq.ft with a 1 to 2 m/s breeze that feels 3 to 5 degrees cooler and lifts settled lint. If it is something you have to get out of the building, dye-bath steam, bleaching fume, sizing humidity, turmeric dust, paper-machine steam, you need exhaust. And in a dye house, where the air is acidic and chlorine-laden, that exhaust must be FRP, because mild-steel fans corrode through in months in Erode's wet, chemical conditions.
Why FRP exhaust matters in an Erode dye house
In Erode's dyeing and bleaching units you need FRP exhaust, not ordinary steel, because the air is acidic, chlorine-heavy and constantly wet. Dye baths, bleaching with hypochlorite, acid scouring and the steam off hot processing all attack mild steel, and on the humid, salt-influenced Erode climate that corrosion runs even faster. We have seen cheap galvanised exhaust fans in dye houses rust through and seize inside a single season, which then leaves the fume and steam with nowhere to go.
FRP, fibre-reinforced plastic, simply does not corrode in that air. Our FRP exhaust fans run up to about 44,000 CFM, enough to keep a dye hall, bleaching section or CETP plant room properly cleared of fume, steam and humidity. Over the grey-cloth, drying and warehouse areas, where the load is heat and lint rather than chemicals, we pair that with HVLS fans and standard industrial exhaust, so you are not paying for FRP where you do not need it. We work out exactly where the FRP line sits during the free survey.
Why Erode powerloom owners switch to gearless HVLS
The number that moves Erode powerloom and textile owners is the power bill. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft and replaces 15 to 20 wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more power, cool far less, and just blow cotton lint around the shed. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours. Erode sheds run long hours through a long, hot season, so that payback comes through faster here than in milder areas.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil onto your cloth or seize up in lint-heavy air, which matters a lot in a weaving shed. Add the 2-year warranty and the maths gets straightforward. We run the actual numbers for your shed during the free survey: floor area, roof height, loom and headcount, your current fan count and tariff, then show you the kW saved and the payback in months before you commit to anything.
Ahmedabad manufacturer, full service across Erode and Tamil Nadu
We manufacture our own fans, which is the practical advantage for an Erode unit: factory pricing, custom sizes built in-house, short lead times, spares on the shelf, and our own engineers, not a third-party dealer, handling the survey, install and after-sales. Our workshop is at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, and we supply and install all over India including Tamil Nadu.
We are honest that we are an Ahmedabad-based maker and not a same-city Erode workshop. What that means in practice is that our own team travels in for the work rather than passing you to a local agent. The free on-site survey is genuinely free and genuinely useful: an experienced engineer on your floor in Erode or Perundurai, measuring your area, roof height and your heat, fume, lint, dust and humidity load, then giving you an honest layout and a written quote. Whether you are a single powerloom shed in the city or a multi-section dye house in SIPCOT Perundurai, you deal with one team for survey, fabrication, installation and AMC.
From the field
Verified installCase study: an Erode dyeing and weaving unit cools its floor and clears the dye fume
Before — the problem
A textile unit on the Perundurai side of Erode, running grey-cloth weaving on one side and a dyeing and bleaching section on the other, called us with a problem we see all over the cluster. Their weaving shed, about 22,000 sq.ft under a low closed roof, ran loom heat, humidity and lint together, and by mid-morning the floor was stifling and hazy. On the dye-house side, the steam and bleaching fume had nowhere to go, and the cheap galvanised exhaust fans they had fitted a year earlier were already rusting and barely turning.
What Aruth installed
We did a free on-site survey, measured a roof height of about 8 m over the looms, and mapped where the fume and steam were collecting over the dye baths. Our recommendation was a clear split. Over the weaving floor we proposed four 6.1 m HVLS fans to wash the whole shed with a steady breeze that lifts lint and beats the trapped heat. Over the dye and bleach section we specified FRP corrosion-proof exhaust, sized around 40,000 CFM total, to physically pull the acidic steam and bleaching fume out instead of letting it hang and rust the building, plus a couple of industrial coolers for the manned packing line.
The result
After installation the weaving floor ran noticeably cooler, the lint haze thinned out, and the dye section finally cleared its steam and fume properly. Because the HVLS fans use IE5 gearless PMSM motors, the unit replaced roughly 18 wall fans with far lower running cost, and on their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone. The FRP exhaust will not rust out the way the old steel fans did, every fan carries our 2-year warranty, and our own team handled survey, fabrication and installation end to end into Erode.
