Verified installCase study, a Jalgaon MIDC PVC pipe unit beating 46C extrusion heat
Before — the problem
A PVC pipe manufacturer in the Jalgaon MIDC called us in peak summer. Across an 18,000 sq.ft shed with four extrusion lines and a low truss, the floor was running 45 to 46C by afternoon, the dry Khandesh heat from outside plus the radiant heat off the extruder barrels and the hot pipe coming out of the cooling baths. They had 20 wall-mounted fans going flat out, noisy and dusty, and the operators standing at the dies and the cut-off saws were the worst hit.
What Aruth installed
We surveyed the shed, ran the airflow numbers and replaced all 20 wall fans with three 6.1 m gearless HVLS fans laid out to wash the whole floor with a steady 1.5 to 2 m/s breeze at operator height, and added a wall exhaust set to pull the trapped hot air off the extruder line. Total connected load for the three HVLS fans came in well under what the 20 wall fans had been drawing.
The result
The result: floor-level temperature dropped a felt 4 to 5C, the breeze finally reached the operators at the lines, and the noise came right down. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone, before counting the steadier shifts.
