Latur sits in a very hot, very dry pocket of Marathwada, and that single fact decides most of what a factory here needs from its ventilation. Through April and May the town regularly touches 42 to 43 degrees C, and inside a coach fabrication bay or an oil mill the air under the roof sheets sits several degrees higher again. We have walked enough floors like these to know the honest answer: in dry Latur heat, moving air well and pulling hot air out matters more than almost anything, and the cheapest way to do both is rarely a wall full of old fans.
Latur is an emerging Marathwada industrial node, and the anchor is the Marathwada Rail Coach Factory along with a solid base of agro and food processing. Coach fabrication means welding, grinding and cutting under big steel-roofed sheds, throwing off heat, weld smoke and metal dust. The edible oil and dal mills run expellers, dryers, roasters and boilers that load the air with heat, oil mist and grain dust. Add engineering units and proposed solar and green-energy work, and you have a town with three or four genuinely different ventilation problems, not one.
Because Latur's climate is hot and dry rather than coastal and humid, evaporative cooling actually works well here, which is why air coolers earn their place alongside HVLS and exhaust in a way they would not in a sticky coastal city. The right mix on a Latur floor is usually HVLS for the big open bays, exhaust to physically clear smoke, dust and process heat, and coolers or coolers-with-misting for the handful of spots where people stand all shift.
We should be straight about one thing: Aruth manufactures in Ahmedabad, so we are not a same-city Latur workshop. What we run instead is a free on-site survey, our engineers travel in, measure your floor, and we supply, install and then service across Maharashtra including Latur. The fans are built to need almost no maintenance, carry a 2-year warranty, and the first visit costs you nothing. Everything below breaks down which Aruth system fits which Latur industry, and how the survey works.

Latur MIDC & Additional MIDC
Rail coaches, food processing, engineering, edible oilLatur's main industrial estate is a real mix, the rail coach fabrication and engineering units alongside edible oil and dal mills and other food processing. The problems sit side by side: coach bays and engineering sheds throw off weld smoke, grinding dust and roof-trapped heat, while the oil and dal mills add expeller heat, oil mist and grain dust. We fit HVLS over the big open fabrication and storage bays, industrial exhaust to clear smoke and process heat, and FRP exhaust where oil mist and moisture would rust ordinary steel fans within a season.
Which Aruth system fits which Latur industry
The short answer for Latur: HVLS fans over the large open bays of the rail coach plant and engineering sheds, industrial exhaust to pull weld smoke, grinding dust and oil-mill heat out of the building, FRP exhaust where oil mist and moisture would corrode steel, and air coolers for the fixed workstations where people stand all shift. Most Latur units end up with a combination, because coach fabrication and agro processing load the air in different ways at the same time.
Coach fabrication is largely a heat and smoke problem over a very big footprint. A 7.3 m gearless HVLS fan washes a steady 1 to 2 m/s breeze across up to about 20,000 sq.ft on under 1.7 kW, which keeps welders and fitters comfortable far more cheaply than 15 to 20 wall fans, while industrial exhaust handles the welding smoke and grinding dust at source. The oil and dal mills are different again, here the air carries heat plus oil mist, moisture and fine grain dust, so exhaust capacity matters more, and around expellers, roasters and boiler areas FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans, available up to about 44,000 CFM, last where mild-steel fans rust out fast.
Why Latur factories switch to gearless HVLS
The number that convinces Latur plant owners is the power bill in a 42 to 43 degree summer. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors, so a single 7.3 m fan covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft on roughly 1.5 to 1.7 kW, replacing 15 to 20 conventional wall or pedestal fans that together draw far more current and cool far less. Across our installs that works out to up to 30% lower fan-related power use, with typical payback inside 18 to 30 months depending on running hours.
Gearless also means almost no maintenance, there is no gearbox to leak oil or seize up in the fine dust of a coach bay or a dal mill. With the 2-year warranty the maths is simple, and we run the real numbers for your shed during the free survey, floor area, roof height, headcount, your current fan count and your tariff, then show you the kW saved and the months to payback before you commit to anything.
How our free Latur site survey and India-wide install works
Here is exactly how it works in Latur: you call us, we send an engineer to your factory in Latur MIDC or the Additional MIDC, and the survey is free with no obligation to buy. We measure the floor area and roof height, look at your actual heat, smoke, dust, oil-mist or moisture load, count your existing fans and check your power tariff, then give you a recommended layout, an airflow calculation and a written quote. For an oil mill we will flag where FRP exhaust is needed, for a coach bay we will lay out the HVLS spacing so no welder is left in dead air.
We are honest that Aruth is based in Ahmedabad, at GF-001 Mauryansh Elanza, Shyamal Cross Rd, Satellite, Ahmedabad 380015, so Latur is served by our team travelling in, not a local same-city workshop. In practice that means survey and install are scheduled on a planned visit, usually within one to two weeks of a confirmed order, with fans built at our own workshop and spares held on our shelf. We supply, mount, wire and then service across Maharashtra including Latur, all backed by the 2-year warranty.
From the field
Verified installCase study, a Latur MIDC oil and dal mill beating expeller heat and dust
Before — the problem
An edible oil and dal processing unit in Latur MIDC called us in late April, when the floor near the expellers and roasters was running close to 45 degrees C and thick with oil mist and fine grain dust. They had around 16 wall and pedestal fans going flat out, which mostly just pushed the hot, dusty air around, and a couple of operators near the roasting line were struggling through the afternoon shift.
What Aruth installed
Our engineer travelled in for a free survey, measured the roughly 14,000 sq.ft shed and ran the airflow numbers. We fitted two 6.1 m gearless HVLS fans over the open processing and packing floor for steady comfort airflow, added industrial exhaust over the roasting and dryer line to pull out heat and grain dust, and put FRP corrosion-proof exhaust fans near the expeller area where oil mist and moisture had already started rusting their old steel fans.
The result
The result: floor-level temperature near the line dropped a felt 4 to 5 degrees C, the haze of oil mist and dust cleared noticeably, and the connected load of the two HVLS fans came in well under what the 16 old fans had been drawing. On their running hours the owner is looking at payback inside roughly two years on fan power alone, and the FRP fans will not corrode out the way the mild-steel ones did. Everything is covered by our 2-year warranty and serviced by our Maharashtra team.
