FRP Exhaust, HVLS & Cooling, Raigad MIDC Belt

FRP Exhaust Fans, HVLS & Coolers for Raigad's Chemical & Pharma Belt: Taloja, Patalganga, Mahad & Khopoli

For Raigad's chemical and pharma factories along the Taloja, Patalganga, Mahad and Khopoli belt, the right setup is FRP corrosion-proof exhaust and push-pull ventilation to clear solvent and acid fumes, HVLS fans for utility, engineering and packing zones, and coolers for the hot spots. We at Aruth Ventilation manufacture all three in Ahmedabad and install across Raigad and the rest of Maharashtra, with up to 30% lower power bills and a free on-site survey anywhere in India. The Konkan humidity here means ventilation is not optional: it is the difference between a workable floor and a corroded, fume-heavy one.

Walk into a solvent-handling block in Taloja MIDC in June and you understand the Raigad problem straight away: the monsoon air is thick and wet, the process is throwing off solvent and acid vapour, and the mild-steel exhaust fan in the wall is already streaked with rust after barely a year. A few kilometres up the expressway at Patalganga, a polyester or pharma unit has the opposite worry in its packing and utility hall, no fumes there, just dead, humid, sticky air over the operators and no real movement in a high-roof shed. Same district, two very different ventilation jobs.

We have spent years working factory floors across the Mumbai-Pune industrial belt, and the most common and most expensive mistake we see in Raigad is the wrong material in the wrong place. Somebody fits ordinary mild-steel exhaust over an acid or solvent process and is back replacing it inside 12 to 18 months because the fumes and the salty Konkan humidity eat it through. Or they run high-speed wall fans in a big engineering or assembly shed and the centre of the floor stays hot and still while only the walls feel any breeze.

This page lays out the right mix for a Raigad factory, zone by zone: FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) exhaust and push-pull ventilation where solvent, acid and process fumes plus humidity would destroy steel and choke operators, HVLS fans where you need to move huge volumes of air gently over engineering, packing, warehousing and utility zones, and portable coolers and man-cooler fans for the genuine hot spots. We manufacture every one of these at our Ahmedabad workshop and install across Taloja, Patalganga, Mahad, Khopoli and Roha.

Aruth Ventilation has completed 230-plus installations across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Our HVLS fans run on IE5 gearless PMSM motors that cut fan-running power by up to 30%, our heavy-duty and FRP exhaust fans go up to about 44,000 CFM, and every fan carries a 2-year warranty. We are based in Ahmedabad, so for Raigad we serve you by sending our own engineers in, not a third-party dealer, starting with a free on-site survey that gives you a real layout and a real number for your floor.

One of Raigad's densest chemical, pharma, engineering and plastics estates, just off the Mumbai-Pune belt. The solvent and acid fumes from the chemical and pharma units corrode mild-steel exhaust fast, so this is classic FRP-exhaust-plus-push-pull territory, with HVLS over the engineering and packing zones.

Why Raigad factories need ventilation built for chemicals, fumes and Konkan humidity

Raigad stacks three problems that most factories face only one of at a time: corrosive process fumes, high coastal humidity, and process heat. The Taloja-Patalganga-Mahad-Khopoli belt is a chain of major chemical and pharma estates, and the solvents, acids and reaction by-products handled here give off vapour that corrodes ordinary mild-steel fan blades, housings and motors from the inside out.

On top of that sits the Konkan climate. Raigad's coastal, monsoon-heavy air is humid for much of the year, and that humidity does two things: it makes ordinary steel rust far faster, and it makes the heat feel worse for operators because sweat cannot evaporate in still, sticky air. Add the process heat from chemical reactions, steel and engineering work, and packing lines, and a poorly ventilated Raigad shed becomes a hot, fume-heavy, corrosive box.

So a Raigad factory usually needs more than one of our product families, matched to the specific zone. Get the match right and you clear the fumes safely, beat the humidity, cool the floor, and stop replacing rusted-out fans every year or two.

Corrosive fumes: solvent, acid and process vapour that destroy mild-steel exhaust fans.
Konkan humidity: coastal, monsoon-heavy air that rusts steel faster and makes heat feel worse.
Process heat: from chemical reactions, steel and engineering work, and packing lines.
Worker safety: solvent and acid fumes must be pulled out of the breathing zone, not just stirred around.
Mixed zones: one factory often has a fume-heavy process block plus a clean utility, packing or engineering hall that need different solutions.

FRP exhaust & push-pull ventilation for chemical, pharma and process blocks

For Raigad's chemical, pharma and specialty-chemical process blocks, you need FRP (fibre-reinforced plastic) exhaust fans, not mild steel, because solvent and acid fumes plus coastal humidity corrode steel blades and housings while FRP shrugs them off for years. This is the single most expensive mistake we see across Taloja, Mahad and Roha: ordinary MS exhaust fitted over an acid or solvent process, rusting and failing inside 12 to 18 months.

In a fume-heavy block, the layout matters as much as the fan. We design push-pull ventilation: fresh-air inlets on one side push clean air across the floor while FRP exhaust on the opposite side pulls the fume-laden air out near its source. That sweeps solvent and acid vapour away from the operator breathing zone instead of letting it hang and recirculate. We calculate the air-change rate your process needs, fume-heavy areas often want a high turnover, sometimes 30 to 60 air changes per hour over the active zone, and lay out the fans to actually move air across the floor.

Our heavy-duty and FRP exhaust fans go up to about 44,000 CFM per unit, so even a large process hall can be covered with a manageable bank of fans. The FRP construction handles solvent, acid and dye fumes plus humidity without corroding, which in Raigad means fans that last instead of fans you keep ripping out.

FRP (corrosion-proof) construction for solvent, acid and dye-fume blocks, won't rust like MS.
Push-pull layout sweeps fumes away from the operator breathing zone.
Sized to your process air-change requirement (often 30 to 60 ACH over the active zone).
Up to about 44,000 CFM per fan; banks designed for large process halls.
Stands up to Raigad's coastal humidity that destroys mild-steel exhaust in a year or two.

HVLS fans for engineering, packing, warehousing and utility zones

For Raigad's engineering, auto-component, steel, packing, warehousing and utility halls, HVLS (High-Volume, Low-Speed) fans are the right tool because they move enormous volumes of air at a gentle, low-velocity breeze that cools the whole floor evenly, without the harsh draught of high-speed fans. A single large HVLS fan creates a slow column of air that spreads out and circulates the entire shed, instead of the narrow blast you get from pedestal or wall fans that leaves the centre of the floor hot and still.

That gentle, whole-floor airflow is exactly what the humid Konkan utility and packing zones need: it keeps air moving over operators so sweat can evaporate, giving a 2 to 4 degree C effective cooling feel, and it stops the dead, sticky pockets where humidity and heat build up. In Khopoli's steel and engineering sheds, HVLS pairs with exhaust to handle the heat from welding, forming and heat processes.

We make five sizes, 2.4 m, 3.6 m, 4.9 m, 6.1 m and 7.3 m, drawing roughly 0.4 to 1.7 kW each on IE5 gearless PMSM motors. One 7.3 m fan covers up to around 20,000 sq.ft of open floor, so a big Patalganga or Khopoli hall often needs only a handful of fans where it would have needed dozens of pedestal fans. Fewer fans, far less power, no floor clutter.

Gentle, whole-floor airflow for engineering, packing, warehousing and utility halls.
Covers up to about 20,000 sq.ft per 7.3 m fan; five sizes from 2.4 m to 7.3 m.
IE5 gearless PMSM motors draw only about 0.4 to 1.7 kW, up to 30% less than conventional fans.
Beats the dead, humid pockets that the Konkan climate creates in big sheds.
Frees up floor space and cuts the number of fans you maintain.

Coolers & man-cooler fans for the genuine hot spots

For specific hot spots, near furnaces, boilers, welding bays, packing lines and loading docks, industrial and portable air coolers and mist (man-cooler) fans give targeted relief where overhead airflow alone is not enough. These are the finishing touch in a Raigad factory, not the whole answer: you clear the process block with FRP exhaust, cool the open halls with HVLS, then drop in coolers and man-cooler fans where individual people are working in the heat.

We are careful about where we recommend misting in Raigad, because the Konkan air is already humid. In a damp utility or coastal-side area, adding more moisture is the wrong move, so there we lean on HVLS and exhaust and keep misting and evaporative coolers to the drier, hotter spots like welding and forging bays, near furnaces, or open loading docks where the extra cooling earns its keep.

Because they are portable, coolers and man-cooler fans also cover seasonal and shift-by-shift needs, roll them to wherever the crew is working hardest that week, whether that is a Khopoli steel bay in the dry months or a Mahad packing line during a heavy run.

Targeted cooling at furnaces, boilers, welding bays, packing lines and loading docks.
Evaporative coolers and mist fans for the drier, hotter spots, not damp humid halls.
Portable, move them to the hot spot of the day, shift or season.
Pair with HVLS and FRP exhaust as spot relief, not as the main system.

Why Aruth, and how we serve Raigad from Ahmedabad

We are a manufacturer, not a reseller, so the fans we install in Raigad are the fans we build at our own workshop in Ahmedabad. That means our own engineers handle your survey, install and after-sales, spares come straight from us, and you are not stuck waiting on a third-party dealer when something needs attention. We have completed 230-plus installations across Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, and every fan carries a 2-year warranty.

Let us be straight about service to Raigad: we are based in Ahmedabad, so this is not a same-city workshop down the road. We serve you by sending our team in, and it works well because we plan it properly. It starts with a free on-site survey where our engineer walks your floor in Taloja, Patalganga, Mahad, Khopoli or Roha, measures roof heights and spans, looks at your fume and heat sources, and comes back with a layout and a firm number. From there we manufacture, deliver and install across Raigad and the rest of Maharashtra.

Because the IE5 PMSM HVLS fans cut fan-running power by up to 30%, the changeover keeps paying for itself long after we have left site. You get the lower running cost, the FRP fans that survive the fumes and humidity, and a 2-year warranty backing all of it.

Case study: a Taloja MIDC chemical unit, fumes cleared and no more rusted exhaust

  1. Before — the problem

A specialty-chemical unit in Taloja MIDC came to us with two complaints under one roof. Their main process block, handling solvents and acids, was hazy with fume by mid-shift, and they were on their third set of mild-steel wall exhaust fans in four years because the fumes and the coastal humidity kept rusting them out. Their adjoining packing and warehouse hall, around 16,000 sq.ft, had a row of pedestal fans that did nothing for the centre of the floor and left operators working in dead, sticky monsoon air.

  2. What Aruth installed

We ran a free on-site survey and split the job by how the building actually worked. In the process block we replaced the rusting MS exhaust with a bank of FRP wall and roof exhaust fans, sized to the air-change rate the solvent and acid load demanded, and laid them out as proper push-pull: fresh-air inlets on one side, FRP exhaust pulling fume-laden air out near the source on the other. The haze cleared from the breathing zone, and the FRP housings handle the fumes and humidity without corroding.

Over the packing and warehouse hall we installed two 6.1 m HVLS fans, positioned to overlap their air columns and cover the full floor evenly. The gentle, low-speed airflow kept the humid air moving over the operators and brought the perceived temperature down noticeably, and we pulled the pedestal fans out entirely, clearing the floor and cutting fan-running power sharply since the two PMSM HVLS units together draw a fraction of what the old fan bank did.

  3. The result

The plant manager's two headline wins: a process block where operators are no longer working in a fume haze, and exhaust fans he is not going to be ripping out and replacing every year. With the IE5 PMSM HVLS fans cutting fan power by up to 30% versus the old setup, the lower running cost is steadily paying back the changeover, and everything is backed by our 2-year warranty. Our team travelled in from Ahmedabad for the survey and the install, and we keep handling the after-sales directly.
